Sermon at First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn 2/2
"Another Way Home" is a story written by my father, Rev. Carl S. Dudley, and first delivered as a sermon at Berea Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, MO in 1966. I have modified certain aspects of the story but the essence is from my father's work. This video is part 2 of 2.
Unfortunately the video cuts off the last 30 seconds. Here is the last paragraph of the sermon, which was missed:
After you have seen the star, what is your other way home? Is it through Gaza? Or Ferguson? Or through alcohol or other forms of abuse? Or through poverty in all its forms? Or through our food pantry on Thursdays? How are we changed by having seen the star and having seen Jesus? We all have many other ways home. Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar saw Jesus and found their other way home.
God give us the strength to follow the star and to find our own other way home. Amen.
